FAQ

1. Do I need to be fit or fast to join?

Not at all! Our club is open to runners (and walkers!) of all abilities — from total beginners to experienced marathoners. Whether you’re starting from scratch or training for a race, you’ll be welcomed and supported.

2. How much does it cost to join?

Nothing — it’s completely free! Our club is and always will be free to join. We believe community, fitness, and friendship should be accessible to everyone.

3. When and where do you meet?

We meet every Saturday and Sunday throughout the year at different scenic locations in and around Loughborough. All meet-up details, including times and routes, are posted in our members’ calendar — which you can access when you sign up.

4. Do I need to register before coming to a run?

Nope! Just show up and say hello — though we do recommend signing up through our free membership page so you can stay updated on meet-ups, races, and other events.

5. What kind of runs do you do?

We host everything from easy social runs and beginner walk/runs to longer training runs and race meet-ups. Each session is friendly and flexible — no pressure, no competition (unless you want it!).

6. Can I walk or run-walk instead of running the whole distance?

Absolutely. Many of our members start with walk/run intervals or power walking. Everyone moves at their own pace — there’s no judgment here.

7. Do you take part in races or charity runs?

Yes! We often attend local and regional races as a group — and we love supporting community events and charities. Check the calendar or events page for upcoming races we’re attending. Check our Gallery >> HERE

8. What should I bring to my first session?

Just wear comfortable running gear and suitable shoes. A water bottle is handy, and maybe a smile — but we’ll provide the encouragement!

9. I am already a member of a running club, can I still come along ?

Of course!. Everyone is welcome to join us our social runs. Many of our members are associated with another running club and we believe that shouldn't stop you from running/training with others. You can still sign up for a Free Membership and be with another running club too.

10. Is there a social side to the club?

Definitely. We’re all about building connections — many of our members become good friends. We also organise social events, post-run coffees, and group outings to races and events. You can find lots more information via our BLOG !

11. How can I stay updated?

Sign up for our free forever membership HERE to get access to the members’ calendar, updates, and email reminders. You can also follow us on Instagram & Facebook
